Yard Signs
Put up a yard sign to show your concern for Wind Turbine noise in residential neighborhoods and also for how business was done in the Village. Folks - there was a lack of transparency and anyone living near O-2 zoning, Bull Creek, Timber Creek, Spring Meadows and areas near the post office are vulnerable to having their own Wind Turbine noise to deal with. We need to understand what is going on - the federal government is handing out money (up to 30% of cost) to businesses for wind power and politicians are eager to grandstand on what they superficially believe to be a harmless and overwhelmingly popular issue. Your Village is not immune to these forces. That's why the previous Village board rushed to agree that "This is what we need to be doing" instead of saying "What do we need to be doing to protect our Village from being mislead and taken advantage of by some highly motivated parties." The more informed we all are about Wind Turbines, the better. By the way, find out why T. Boone Pickens is dumping 687 Wind Turbines. (Read NEWS articles).
Finances
Attorneys cost money and we already spent more than we expected to get a temporary restraining order. Our investment of over $13,000 for temporary relief from wind turbine noise demonstrates the reality of this issue and our commitment to it. We now owe another $25,000 for a week of hearings that resulted in the judge finding harm and limiting the Wind Turbine operating hours. Next, we are hiring a professional noise consultant to come in and study this issue (something the Village should have required Aldridge Electric to do) and then we are preparing for a jury trial this year. Our attorney received word from Adridge Electric that the company intends to erect two more turbines! Please help us and please help Libertyville. We believe we are fighting for everyone in Libertyville that might be vulnerable to Wind Turbine Noise. The cash is coming out of our pockets, our paychecks and what was left of our 401K's. We need 500 people to donate $100 urgently. Please.

Thank You! We will be eternally grateful for your support.
The Aldridge Electric Wind Turbine Site is located in U.S. Department of Energy Wind Class 1 Zone with a Resource Potential of Poor. The wind class rating assumes 50m or 164 feet height. The 120' Aldridge Wind Turbine is less than a poor resource! |
