Joe Mullen I first learned about the wind turbine when I saw the guys putting it up. I didn't receive any notice. It went up in April and it was cold and we could hear it inside. Then we had a couple of unusually warm days and we opened the windows. Whoosh-whoosh. Everytime I went outside: whoosh-whoosh. I thought, there goes the backyard. No more reading on the patio in the summer. After awhile I realized we were screwed. It's really obnoxious and it sticks out like a sore thumb. There's no scenery when the leaves aren't hiding it. If Aldridge put it where it was supposed to go, and had not pulled that Chicago-style midnight Miegs field maneuver to move it within 250 feet of our backyards, things might have been OK, I don't know for sure. I'm sure Aldridge moved it by the front door of his office for advertising purposes. Imagine his photo op - here's my office and wind turbine. |
